Meadow and Thorn is born and bred in the small Waikato town of Te Awamutu, New Zealand.

We are a small batch, boutique skin care company focused on the power of real organic botanicals and ingredients to bring forth the natural beauty in all of us without chemical nasties that harm us and bother our skins natural biome.

Meadow and Thorn creator/head dabbler and wellbeing lover Amy has a professional background in nursing, health science, and horticulture.

​​

As a health professional, Amy was hearing a lot from the people around her, who were dealing with discomfort or suffering related to skin conditions and the use of non-natural and chemical based preparations.

 

The research found around the topic was both horrifying and astounding, and reinforces what we already know, the skin is the biggest organ of the human body, and we are becoming poisoned by what we put on it.

Yet, most products marketed as 'natural' have so many harmful ingredients and fillers that do us no favours.

So Meadow and Thorn was born, and the feedback has been wonderful.

When not found in her company kitchen cooking new skin care recipes, Amy can eventually be found researching, reading, painting, or in her garden dreaming of all life's possibilities usually surrounded by chickens, cats and children.
